MKO is seeking to recruit an experienced property professional to lead the company’s Land Solutions team and land agent service offering.
MKO is the market leader and is at the cutting edge of the renewable energy and commercial development sectors in Ireland for well over a decade. The projects we work on require land and our Land Solutions team negotiate and secure agreements with landowners to assemble the sites required for our client’s projects. The MKO Land Solutions team is well-established in the marketplace, working for many leading renewable energy developers.
The successful candidate will be an experienced property, renewable energy or agronomy professional, with extensive commercial negotiation expertise, business acumen and a proven track record of being able to get deals done. The successful candidate will ideally also have prior experience of managing and mentoring fellow team members, and managing a portfolio of clients and projects. Experience of the renewable energy sectors, associated land agreements and project requirements will be highly advantageous.
Reporting to the Company Directors, the role would best suit someone who has already been active in the renewable energy or commercial property sectors, who is interested in career progression and would relish the opportunity and responsibility to manage their own business unit within MKO.
We are now seeking a candidate to successfully manage and direct the team’s workload, engage professionally with clients, and recruit other high-calibre team members.
- Devise, manage and implement landowner negotiation strategies for large-scale development and energy infrastructure projects;
- Oversee and manage the delivery of a high-quality land agent service offering for the clients that entrust us with their work;
- Continue to refine and expand a broad, client and project-focussed service offering, that caters for the various requirements of different clients across a range of projects; and
- Coordinate, manage and grow a high-performing team of commercial property professionals and negotiators working across a wide variety or projects and clients.
The Land Negotiations Director is a senior role and the successful candidate will join the company’s management team, make contributions to the wider business, while leading the Land Solutions team. The role will attract a significant remuneration package, commensurate with their experience and track record in similar roles.
MKO appreciate the value of hybrid working arrangements. The Land Negotiations Director’s primary place of work can be the MKO office in Galway or Dublin, and they will be free to work from their location of choice for the remainder of the time. As a Director of the Land Solutions team, their regular presence in MKO Galway head office will be required.
