MKO is seeking to recruit an experienced communications professional to manage and grow our Project Communications service offering.

With our ‘Project Comms’ services, we communicate on behalf of the projects we work on to audiences of key stakeholders.

Project Comms involves devising and implementing strategies to communicate key project messages on often complex, technical projects, in a way stakeholders will understand and appreciate. The successful candidate will establish methods and means to do so, building on MKO’s experience in this area, which also allow stakeholders provide constructive input to the benefit of the projects.

Experience in the planning, development or construction sectors will be important to understand the needs of the projects, clients and stakeholders from the outset.

The successful candidate’s background will ideally include public relations, communications, marketing, or other related fields. Prior experience in media and/or journalism would also be advantageous.

The following key responsibilities will attach to the role:

  • Devise, manage and implement Stakeholder Engagement Strategies for large-scale development and infrastructure projects;
  • Oversee and manage the delivery of a high-quality project communications service offering for the clients that entrust us with their work;
  • Formulate a broad, client and project-focussed service offering, that caters for the various requirements of different clients across a range of projects;
  • Grow and manage a high-performing team of project communications professionals;
  • Research and refine innovative and industry-leading project communications methods.

MKO appreciate the value of hybrid working arrangements. Our Project Communications Director will be office based for 2-3 days per week and free to work from their location of choice for the remainder of the time.
