RESS Auctions Update – Success for 63 Solar Farms and 19 Wind Farms!

The Irish renewables industry has welcomed the commencement of the new Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS) and the provisional Auction results published on the 4^th August by Eirgrid.

82 projects were successful in provisionally securing an offer, bringing forward a provisional total Deemed Energy Quantity of 2236GWh.

63 of the 82 projects were solar, with a total offer quantity of 796MW.  19 projects were onshore wind projects, with a total offer quantity of 479MW.
