One of the key challenges as part of the application process was to convincingly demonstrate to the Board that, although a section of the development site fell outside the boundaries designated as the Wind Energy Development Area by Offaly County Council, the entire site remained viable for wind energy development. The basis for this determination was outlined in detail in the Environmental Impact Assessment Report submitted with the initial application. Moreover, this assertion was further substantiated in response to the Further Information Request from the Board, where additional information was provided to address any concerns.
