Renewables

Our Renewables team has been at the forefront of the Irish wind energy industry for over ten years.

Our team of Environmental Scientists has provided advice on over 1GW of onshore wind projects. They are lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) specialists on one of the first rounds of offshore wind projects to be brought through the planning system. Our team has the depth of experience required to inform the EIA, Appropriate Assessment, and planning consent regimes, bearing in mind the sensitivity of the environments we work in. We manage the ever-expanding project teams required to deliver robust and high-quality applications to ensure the best-designed projects are brought forward to the consenting process.

Renewables Key Services

Comprehensive renewables services for effective project outcomes.

Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR)

We prepare robust EIAR reports taking account of the latest requirements of the EU EIA Directive and national guidance. The reports are cognisant of new methodologies and approaches to assessment and mitigation related to the renewables sector.

Project management

We coordinate the wider project team comprising numerous disciplines and specialist experts. Our broad knowledge of the various disciplines allows for reasoned strategic advice and guidance.

Site selection and identification

We complete site selection and identification reports based on planning and environmental constraints assessments and reviews. These include the identification of the key issues to de-risk future applications.

Site feasibility

We provide opinions on site feasibility from a planning and environmental perspective. This generally requires input into site design to minimise environmental effects and is often the most value-added part of the process for many clients.
