MKO Health and Safety services

MKO welcomes Michael McDonagh, who will lead our new dedicated Health and Safety Services team. Building on our existing construction client safety consultation and Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) offering, the new service will offer a further expert yet practical advice and support across all areas of Health and Safety.

Michael joins us from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), where he spent over 18 years. Michael has previous experience in the construction and manufacturing sectors. In his role in the HSA, Michael was most recently Senior Inspector for the Utilities, Waste and Engineering Unit. Before that, Michael was Senior Inspector for the Construction Unit for nine years, including developing the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and all associated Codes of Practice and guidance. Michael has many years of experience in all aspects of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) across all sectors. He has been involved in thousands of workplace OSH inspections and dozens of serious and fatal accident investigations, including prosecutions.

Michael was the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) representative on the Construction Industry Register of Ireland (CIRI) board.

Michael and his team have extensive experience and expertise and will deliver health and safety services to complement our multidisciplinary consultancy. Our services include:
