Dervla O’Dowd

Dervla is an Associate Director responsible for MKO’s dedicated Ornithology team. The team was set up in 2016 to provide specialist ornithology services to the wind energy industry and other relevant sectors, delivering large infrastructural projects and data collection services to government agencies and regional authorities. With over 18 years of multidisciplinary experience in an environmental consultancy, Dervla’s professional focus in recent years has been leading the development of MKO’s Ornithology team to deliver a best-in-class service offering to our clients in key sectors such as renewable energy generation, transport and residential development, while also working with regional and national agencies to coordinate large-scale bird survey projects required to inform conservation planning at regional and national level.
