Nicola is a Research Ornithologist at MKO Research, where she currently works on the research team for the RE:Harrier Project which focuses on improving our understanding of hen harrier interactions with wind energy developments in an Irish context. Nicola has a PhD in Ecology and a MRes in animal movement ecology and her research to date has focussed on quantifying bird flight characteristics and habitat use to better understand ornithological impacts of wind farms. Nicola is also involved in several working groups, including the International Energy Agency’s Task 34 – working together to resolve the environmental effects of wind energy.
