The Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) has published a 2021 update to their ‘Good Practice Guidance for Habitats and Species’ document. This provides ecology professionals with a list of the key published guidance documents and resources for carrying out survey work relating to species and habitats, as well as mitigation, management and monitoring work, within Ireland and the UK. In order to provide its members with the most current and appropriate guidelines, where these are available, this list is subject to a formal review and update by CIEEM every two years.
Under CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct, members are required to be fully familiar with the available best practice guidance for the work they are carrying out.
